In 1984 Mr. Sanh Chung established Viet Huong from humble beginnings in San Francisco. His vision was to create a worldwide premium fish sauce brand. As a wholly owned family-operated business, Viet Huong has grown from door-to-door sales to the international fish sauce company it is today. A single mission has fueled our dedicated journey:

The Viet Huong name was created by combining "Việt," the original Vietnamese word for Vietnam, with "Hương", denoting a pleasant smell. It was chosen for its simple pronunciation.

 

Over the 28-year period since our inception, households, celebrity chefs and the food industry have expressed their enjoyment of Viet Huong Premium Fish Sauces. "Three Crabs" was highlighted as a "Chef's Secret Ingredient" in Bon Appetit Magazine, American food

 

and entertaining magazine published monthly.
